An opportunity has arisen to become the Editor of Boat News, the UK's fastest growing marine title. Launched in 2006 Boat News has grown from strength to strength.
Boat News editor duties include : Deciding editorial contents, commissioning articles, drawing up flatplan, liaising with ad manager & publisher to ensure balanced contents, making sure contributors keep to deadline, editing copy and writing headlines, writing news articles & features as necessary, chasing pics where necessary, planning content of news pages, sending words & pics to designer, liaising with designer, writing captions & inputting proofing corrections on final layout; ensuring all copy fits, overall responsibility for quality of material submitted, proofing & copy fitting.
Salary based on a freelance basis approx £20-24k per annum. Based on working 10-12 days per month.
