The Yachting Journalists' Association invites you

to join in the presentation of

The 2006 Raymarine YJA Yachtsman of the Year Award

The results of this year's most prestigious award will be announced at a luncheon ceremony to be held in The Painted Hall, The Old Royal Naval College, Greenwich.  (This is just a short distance across the river from ExCel and transport has been laid on for guests).

Lady Pippa Blake, widow of the finest yachtsman the world has ever known, will be presenting the Award along with YJA Chairman Bob Fisher.  The leading executives of Raymarine will also be there to honour the winner, along with many other world-famous sailors like Mike Golding and Alex Thompson - and many important representatives of the Marine Industry.  About 100 marine journalists are expected to be attending.

This will be one of the most prestigious sporting occasions of the year, held in what is arguably Europe's most famous and best-loved maritime venue, the Painted Hall of the Old Royal Naval College Greenwich.  This remarkable event combines the opportunity to take part in the Yachtsman of the Year proceedings with the chance for a great day out at a historic venue, with Leith's superb catering and fine wines and live music - in short - a superb opportunity for corporate entertaining at the highest level.  For a glimpse of the venue, look into the attached invitation.

The presentation will be televised and will be going out on radio also.  A few corporate tables for 10 and upwards remain available, at £1,100 per table.  This is inclusive of all food, wines, transport to and from ExCel and the guided tour of the Old Royal Naval College Buildings which includes the famous Chapel, the Painted Hall, and the Nelson Room, where the body of Admiral Lord Nelson was laid in state after being brought back from the Battle of Trafalgar.

If you would like to arrange a corporate table for your business, please get in touch with YJA Vice-Chairman and Treasurer June Hamilton as follows:   email:  jmh@dip.demon.co.uk  , fax 01243-267599,  phone 01243-264173.
