The YJA Handbook is an invaluable tool for journalists, photographers, editors, publishers and PR and marketing organisations – anyone operating in the maritime media field, in fact. The handbook contains the full contact details for all members of the Association together with information on their special interests and fields of activity. It provides national and international media guidance notes for event organisers, in addition to containing a history of the Yachtsman of the Year Awards and information on the Yachting Journalists' Association generally.
The 2005-2006 handbook is still extant, but preparations for the new 2007-2008 handbook are in progress and this will be published later in the year and distributed free of charge to members at that time.
The current handbook is available to non-members and interested media groups at £10, plus £2 postage and packing. Requests for copies of the handbook should be made to Vice-Chairman and acting Treasurer June Hamilton, at Crimsham Manor, Lagness, Chichester, West Sussex, PO20 1LN, and accompanied by a cheque made payable to the Yachting Journalists' Association.
