The RYA is the national body for all forms of recreational and competitive boating. It represents dinghy and yacht racing, motor and sail cruising,RIBs and sportsboats, powerboat racing, windsurfing, inland cruising and
personal watercraft. With over 98,000 personal members and approximately 1,500 affiliated clubs, classes and Training Centres all over the UK, the RYA represents the interests of all who enjoy going afloat. The work of the RYA covers everything from protecting yachtsmen's rights in parliamentary and EC legislation, to setting up junior windsurfing road shows around the country.
